The terms that govern your use of StatClinic.
By accessing or using StatClinic (statclinic.net), operated by Auronile, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
StatClinic provides free statistical calculators, guided analysis tools, and educational articles intended for medical students, clinicians, and researchers to support learning and research workflows. The tools are designed to help you run and interpret standard statistical tests correctly and efficiently.
Nothing on StatClinic constitutes medical advice or a recommendation for patient care. Statistical outputs should not be used as the sole basis for clinical decisions. Always consult qualified professionals — statistical and clinical — before acting on any result produced by this site.
We implement standard, well-established statistical formulas and test our calculators against known reference results, and calculations run locally in your browser using the inputs you provide. That said, the correctness of a result still depends on entering appropriate, valid data and selecting a statistical test that fits your study design. You are responsible for verifying that the test you chose is appropriate for your data and for independently checking any result used in a thesis, manuscript, or clinical report.
As described in our Privacy Policy, the data you enter into a calculator is processed locally in your browser and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any data you choose to enter (including handling of patient-level or otherwise sensitive data) complies with your institution's data protection and research ethics requirements.
The StatClinic name, logo, site design, and original blog content are the property of Auronile. You may cite and link to our articles and reference our calculators in your own research with appropriate attribution. You may not republish substantial portions of our articles elsewhere without permission.
StatClinic may display advertisements served through Google AdSense to help support the free availability of the site's tools. Advertising is described in more detail in our Privacy Policy. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the content of individual ads served by Google or its advertising partners.
StatClinic is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Auronile and StatClinic shall not be liable for any damages — direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or its calculators, including any decisions made based on their output.
We may update these terms from time to time as the site evolves. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The "Last updated" date below reflects the most recent revision.
